Hey guys, it's been a while.
For the first time in a while, I haven't really touched anything design related. I haven't spoken to any manufacturers, haven't opened my pantone book, haven't converted inches to centimeters, haven't updated the website, haven't taken flat lay photos, haven't been a designer.
Can't say life's been better without design, but i've definitely been able to experience this weird life of mine in a way I have always been curious about.

So has life without design been looking like?
Well I packed up my car and drove about 13 hours to Aspen, CO. I am now living here in the valley for the winter, working as a lifty.
My days involve me waking up at 6am, napping on the bus to bon iver, getting chairlifts open and ready for public, watching chairs go round, seeing all the kids getting stoked on chair 67, throwing snow onto the ramp, eating my microwave macaroni, watching the sun set behind the mountain, shivering once the wind picks up, snowboarding back down the mountain, and taking that same bus back home.
and it's been pretty cool. not to mention all the other fun things we get into outside of work, especially when we all have work the next morning.
---

So now what?
Just like how i would answer about a year ago, "i don't know". The more I try to figure things out, the more confusing it gets. So like i'm pretty close to giving up. Probably not the right words but idk i'm curious to know if design / running houseofdakh is still in the cards for me.
As much as I want to keep going with this project, it's just hard for me to find a good reason for it to exist now outside of selfish reasons. at first it was a way for me to prove what's possible if you chase your dreams, and it's pretty awesome to see that there's no need to do that anymore now (at least in my surrounding communities). but now that leaves me in a weird spot where I don't have a why anymore.
so yea, i dont know. not really sure where the universe wants me.
in a perfect world it would all make sense to me tomorrow morning, or maybe the next day?

You’ve given us all that push to make dreams happen. Nothing new here. You chase the unknown with so much trust that things sorta work itself out. You’re forever my life’s expander.
Hello there, I stumbled across one of your crew neck sweatshirts at the flea market this morning in stockton. I just pulled it out of the dryer and can easily say it is now one of my favorites. I looked it up and found your blog / website here. Cool to think how far your art may have traveled to reach my hands, and how many people it has made happy along the way. Just wanted to say thank you, and you are an inspiration. Have a magical time in CO!!

Always inspired by you bro. You’ve added value to the community, and inspiration to think outside of the box. You’ve got mad skillz and creativity, and whatever you put your mind to will prosper, as we’ve witnessed. You got purpose bro – even if it’s seeing the smiles of the kiddos on lift 67
even if design isn’t it, your creativity is part of you and it will never die. You created something meaningful here, something that counts. No matter where life takes you, your unique ability to create with purpose goes with you. Cheers bruv
whatever lies on the road ahead, just know; all that you’ve done and all that you will do is forever etched into the hearts of this community bro. houseofdahk is 4ever <3
